Dear User the website www.tenutaolimbauda.it , makes use of Cookies.

With this notice we explain what cookies are and how they are used on the Site. Through these cookies, the Company, as the Data Controller, collects and processes certain personal data concerning you. By means of this information notice, also prepared pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of personal data (hereinafter the “Regulation” or “GDPR”); of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003- as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 – (hereinafter the “Privacy Code”); as well as the privacy legislation in force, we explain how we collect this data, for what purposes and what are your rights.

  1. What are Cookies

Cookies are small portions of code that sites visited by the user send to the browser, where they are stored and then transmitted to the same sites during navigation or on the next visit by the same user. While browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies on his/her workstation that are sent by different sites or web servers (so-called “third-party” cookies), on which some elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) present on the site that the same user is visiting may reside. In this way, for example, cookies allow and/or facilitate access to certain Internet pages in order to improve the user’s navigation (i.e. they allow the memorisation of visited pages and other specific information, such as frequently consulted pages, connection errors, etc.), or they allow profiling activities. Therefore, for an easy and complete use of a website, it would be advisable for the user to configure his or her browser so that it accepts the reception of such cookies.

There are different types of Cookies and tracking tools managed directly by the Owner, so-called “first-party” tracking tools, which are installed on the Site directly by the Owner and tracking tools that enable services provided by third parties, so-called “third-party” tracking tools, which are installed on the Site by parties other than the Owner.

  1. Duration and expiry of Cookies and other Tracking Tools

A distinction is made between session Cookies, which are automatically removed at the end of the browsing session, and persistent Cookies, which remain stored in the User’s device even after the end of the browsing session on the Site.

  1. Purposes of Cookies

In relation to their purpose, cookies are distinguished into:

(i) technical cookies: these are cookies, either proprietary or third-party, that serve to carry out navigation or to provide a service requested by the user. Without the use of such cookies, certain operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure. These types of cookies make it possible to carry out and maintain user identification within the session and are indispensable. This data is used in an anonymous or aggregate form and for which no specific consent of the User is required for its installation and subsequent use;

ii) analytical cookies: these are cookies, either proprietary or third-party, used to measure network traffic on the Site, to obtain statistical information, including in aggregate form, on the number of Users accessing the Site and on how the Site is used. Analytical type cookies can be assimilated to technical cookies and, as such, can be used without the prior acquisition of the User’s consent only if they are used for Site optimisation purposes directly by the owner of the Site itself, who may collect statistical information in aggregate form on the number of Users and on how they visit the Site (the so-called “single out”) (See “Guidelines cookies and other tracking tools” published by the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali on 10 June 2021).

iii) profiling cookies: these are cookies, either proprietary or third-party, used to draw up a profile of the User in order to send advertising messages that are consistent with the tastes and consumption habits expressed by the same while surfing the web (so-called profiling). In view of the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the private sphere of Users, European and Italian laws provide that the User must be adequately informed on the use of such devices and express his or her free and specific consent with regard to their installation on his or her navigation device.

In addition to what is specified in the description of each of the categories above, Users may obtain more detailed and updated information on the duration, as well as any other relevant information – such as the presence of other tracking tools – in the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers (through the links provided) or by contacting the Data Controller.

  1. Type of Cookies used by the Site

Technical and necessary Cookies are used to enable the User to access and navigate the Site. The User’s consent is not required for such Cookies.

Statistical and marketing cookies, on the other hand, operate exclusively with the User’s consent.

This consent may be given or withheld by the User on his or her first visit to the Site, in the manner indicated in the relevant banner.

On subsequent visits to the Site, the User may revoke the consent previously given to the use of such Cookies.

The User can give or revoke such consent by setting his or her preferences within the Cookie Policy, removing previously saved tracking tools.
